Scott B. Adams has forged a career out of capturing landscapes and snippets of history from the Adirondacks, The Finger Lakes & New York state, and turning them into lush, acoustic instrumental music compositions. Music from his most recent cds is featured on the PBS Special, “Adirondack Wild” as well as on various syndicated radio shows such as NPR’s “’Echoes” and “The Folk Sampler”.. His resume includes guest appearances at The White House and with various Orchestras such as the Syracuse Symphony, The Binghamton Philharmonic and the Buffalo Festival Orchestra. Scott has performed before New York Governor George Patak and his recent career “highlights” include a performance at the dedication of “Pine Knot”* as a National Historic Landmark and at the Olympic Speed Skating Oval in Lake Placid, NY. Scott also does frequent Adirondack area concert appearances which have included The Old Forge Arts Center, The Wild Center, and The Sagamore Great Camp. He has been creating music professionally for over 20 years and has released over two dozen cds to date.

“Adams is an accomplished solo guitarist…his instrumentals are at times driving, at times haunting, as he freely uses minor keys, alternate tunings and slide-playing styles. He has a Pete-Seeger-like commitment to nature. His title song, “Adirondack Wild” has John Denver’s passion, and his voice quality reminds you of early Gordon Lightfoot. So if the former was considered Colorado’s poet laureate, and the latter the same for Canada, then I nominate Scott B Adams as our poet laureate.”

Chuck Agonito, The Finger Lakes Times

“This work is so refreshing you can almost feel the mountain air against your face. Listening to the Adirondacks is a unique achievement-evidence once again that Adams has taken the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”

Jon Ulrich - The Ithaca Times
